OPPORTUNITY

 

Figment, one of the world’s largest blockchain infrastructure and digital asset services providers, needed to raise awareness for both their Series B and Series C investment fundraises but also for their groundbreaking work in developing and expanding the so-called ‘Web 3’ ecosystem. Figment’s concurrent objective: to engage developers, coders and other experts who would be interested in working for the company.


STRATEGY

Facing unfamiliarity and skepticism from the business media and broader public, Goldcomm two a two-pronged communications approach: focusing on the amount of capital the company raised as signs of investor support of blockchain and Web 3 development, and articulating Figment’s vision and strategy for supporting a new ecosystem of digital assets and securities. Goldcomm worked with Figment’s senior leadership team on talking points and examples of how blockchain and Web 3 applications worked, and also helped produce blog content and an ongoing appendix to define and explain less-known terms in blockchain and Web 3. 


OUTCOME


Goldcomm secured an exclusive story with Bloomberg to announce the Series B fundraise, as well as coverage in various crypto/blockchain trade media to further highlight the progressive work Figment was focusing on with blockchain and Web 3. For the Series C fundraise, Goldcomm secured an exclusive story with Forbes to highlight growing investor confidence in blockchain companies as well as an embargoed story to run shortly after with The Block, a highly-regarded crypto trade publication, to further reach an audience for recruiting
